Paintings

When slowly composing a painting it is completed when the construction, elements and colors found its location. The rearanging and transformation of the elements is a time consuming and crucial process (some paintings have over 5 layers). Some of the underneath layers reveal a story of what phases I had to go through.

The focus lies in finding solutions to new optical complex challenges.

Installations and videoart

The material I use can vary from concept to concept. For example staples from some govermental documents was used when making the straw hut. When collecting these staples from my colleagues the process of making the art was reminiscent of my life situation.

Drawings

The drawings are generally used in planning the project. In other occasions I make academic drawings to practice and  challenge the visual.
